The Oyster App is a startup based in Dallas all about food. We built Oyster to help bring the community together in support of local businesses. We've just finished our mvp (minimal viable product) and we're looking for an experienced Flutter Dev to help take on some workload.
What Oyster does: We turn spending history into status at local restaurants; letting merchants visualize their most loyal supporters. This is quite literally a social showcase of putting your money where your mouth is. In effect, each time you visit and spend at your favorite restaurants you're marketing your favorite local establishments to others.
Contractor Position: Senior Software Engineer- iOS & Android Mobile Developer
What we’re looking for
- Highly enthusiastic mobile software engineer to work on a contract basis on a startup. Working for equity is also negotiable.
- Responsible for designing and implementing complex solutions to round out the Oyster App, maintaining the mobile app and working with a very small team and Sr Dev to ensure the quality of Oyster’s mobile application is running smoothly
- Communicates often and effectively, open to constructive feedback in order to achieve outcomes
- Delivers results in order to hit deadlines
- Will quickly transition into also developing the Merchant Dashboard post MVP/beta launch
What you bring to the table
- Proven experience in developing and releasing mobile applications
- Experienced in Flutter or familiarity with mobile cross-platform languages (e.g. React Native)
- Experienced in working with Firebase’s Firestore or other NoSQL/relational databases
- Understanding of how to use crash tracing tools (eg., Crashlytics), and able to deliver high-quality consumer applications
- Node.js experience is a plus
- Experience building well-tested developer solutions from the ground up on a small team
- SaaS experience in a high growth atmosphere ideal
- Tenacity and drive with enthusiasm for working in a start-up environment
- Common sense approach with a can-do attitude interested in working with a team
