Students use Fygo because it instantly pays them a substantial percentage on everyday purchases in physical stores, digital services, and e-commerce when they use their normal debit card, and they are rewarded even more when they spend with friends. It's like the chrome extension ‘Honey’, but there are no codes required, and it works in the real world.

Social is our sauce. Built for friendship groups, clubs and societies, Fygo brings collective money-making to university campuses.

Fygo increases merchants’ revenue via greater footfall, higher average transaction values and increased loyalty. It also provides unprecedented information on customer behaviour and local market share ownership.

We’re starting with university campuses. We have an advantage here - we ran a £10 local discount pass while we were in college for us and our friends. We sold thousands of cards and had around half of local merchants on the platform, including brands like Domino’s, Mountain Warehouse, Kohler Resorts and Jo Malone. 8 months later, the platform is now free for students, and unlike a physical pass, can’t be forgotten at checkout.

The advertising, insights and rewards universes are colliding, and so too are the social and finance sectors. Fygo has found a way to make both meetings work, packaged in a product that our test users love and use on a daily basis.

Fygo is a startup backed by Charles Wigoder, the current executive chairman of Utility Warehouse, responsible for the founding and growth of several telecoms empires. Fygo has raised £450,000 since its inception last year.

We won the Santander Ideas Explosion Competition 2020, accepted into the FCA Innovation Hub and are included in Hogan Lovell 2020 Fintech cohort. We are advised by managers and directors from JP Morgan, Perkbox, Gojimo, and several venture capital firms.

You should apply if:

• At least 1.5 years’ experience in building moble apps using Flutter
• Strong experience in developing mobile apps using APIs (SOAP/Rest, XML, JSON)
• Proven experience in releasing Flutter Mobile App to both iOS and Android
• Have a very good understanding of back-end, web and mobile app technology in a demanding consumer environment.
• Strong team player, ability to work in cross-functional teams with marketing, product, design, engineering, operations and partners
