Lead Mobile Engineer

Ellipsis Health is revolutionizing the way behavioral health is assessed and managed. We are

establishing voice as a behavioral health vital sign and offer a real-time platform powered by

patented machine-learning algorithms to assess and monitor Anxiety and Depression. Our goal is for everyone to have easy access to mental health care, as we work to eliminate the stigma related to such issues. We are headquartered in Silicon Valley and are funded and supported by some of the most preeminent venture capital teams such as Khosla Ventures, Generator Ventures, Luminous Ventures, SpringTide Ventures, and CityLight Capital.

We are currently looking for an experienced mobile app engineer with significant experience in building commercial-grade consumer-facing apps. This is a technical leadership role and you will work closely with our CTO to create an engaging and easy to use healthcare app in Flutter. It is a great opportunity to build the next generation of our app that will be used by millions of users all over the world.

Ellipsis Health is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we are open to remote candidates for this role in the US, Canada, India, or beyond. 

Responsibilities 

• Build and enhance Ellipsis Health's flagship product, Rising Higher, on iOS and Android using Google's Flutter platform
• Play the role of a full-stack engineer and write some backend business logic as well
• Create unit tests and work with the QA team to ensure high quality
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to incorporate new features in the app
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Participate in operating the service and meeting out SLA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science from a reputable college
• 5+ years of industry experience
• 2+ years of experience working on commercial, consumer-facing apps for iOS / Android / Flutter. At least one year of experience with Flutter.
• Experience with Google Firebase and Node.JS
• Excellent knowledge of Javascript/Typescript. Bonus points for Java and Python.
• Excellent grasp of algorithms, data structures, and CS concepts such as asynchronous processing, multi-threading, queuing, pub-sub, etc.
• Experience working with large scale SaaS offerings
• Experience with public clouds (GCP/AWS/Azure). GCP preferred.



Nice to Have

• Experience with backend technologies such as Kafka, Cassandra/MongoDB, ElasticSearch, S3, BigQuery/Redshift, etc.
• Experience working in Healthcare
• Knowledge of HIPAA or other regulatory standards
